Meet the Artist
My name is J.T. Sweeney, and I’m a self-taught artist in southeastern North Carolina with a passion for creating. I communicate my vision of the world through a range of media, from oil and acrylic paints to watercolor to graphite and charcoal. My work often features the natural world: all kinds of wildlife, the beauty of landscapes, and the perpetual motion of seascapes. But I also enjoy the contemplative elegance of still life and even portraits.
For me, the artistic journey activates both sides of the brain. It’s about both solving the technical puzzles of my craft and, most importantly, creating images that resonate emotionally with others.
